AMA fallout begins, lambert’s GMA concert cancelled

Glambert at the AMA'sAs much as I make fun of it, I knew there was bound to be some negative fallout for Adam Lambert from his suggestive and provocative performance on the AMA’s Sunday night and I was right.

According to a Good Morning Americacoordinator, Lambert’s free concert (part of show’s Fall Concert Series) has been cancelled.   An email distributed this morning reads as follows…

Attn: Adam Lambert Fans (About the Nov 25, 2009 concert) The Adam Lambert Concert at the Hudson Theatre has been offically cancelled.  It is not neccessary to come to the theatre as it will be closed.  Thank you for your interest in the show and Adam Lambert.  We look forward to your attendance at future events.

A spokesminion for ABC  told the New York Times that “Given his controversial American Music Awards performance, we were concerned about airing a similar concert so early in the morning.”

Of course, none of this will be good enough for the folks at the PTC who, now having sensed that there’s blood in the water, will stop at nothing, Nothing! until all Adam Lambert CD’s and paraphernalia are burned, his music banned from radio, and the singer barred from all future TV appearances.

UPDATE – Proof that with every door that closes, another one opens comes word that Lambert will be performing on The Early Show on CBS instead.  Wonder if he had to promise to tone it down and how long it will take before the PTC starts protesting this scheduled appearance?
