Jay Leno Show Deathwatch – NBC confirms what everyone already knew
Realizing that there was little to no point in trying to put a spin on it anymore, NBC (No Bloody Clue) confirmed that the plug has been pulled on The Jay Leno Show late yesterday afternoon, with the prime time show ending on Feb 11.
Apparently, network execs said that Leno and O’Brien had the weekend to decide what they wanted to do, although NBC hopes they’ll agree with their initial plan of Jay taking a half hour spot at 11:35, Conan taking an hour at 12:05 and Jimmy Fallon’s show airing at 1:05 in the morning (assuming anyone’s still up to watch at that point).
I’d imagine the environment at the network is so toxic right about now, you’d practically need a hazard suit in order to function. Newsflash to NBC, unfunny is unfunny, no matter what time slot you assign it.
