When former teen idols go bad
TMZ is reporting that Leif Garrett, a pin-up boy for the Tiger Beat set back in the mid-1970′s was arrested for heroin possession earlier this week at a subway station in downtown LA.
The 49 year old initially attracted attention to himself by sweating, shaking, and generally acting sketchy. Police asked if they could search his person and Garrett admitted to carrying drugs in his shoe. He was arrested on the spot and managed to make the $10 000 bail this morning.
Previously, Garrett was ordered into court over rehab for violating probation stemming from a 2005 arrest for cocaine possession when he was found on the subway system carrying heroin and quaaludes in 2006.
Quaaludes? How retro.
Garrett’s next court appearance is set for Feb 24th.
