Looks like Tayor Swift and John Mayer are an item after all. 

Hollywood Life is saying the two are a couple, just after word was getting around earlier  this week that she and Cory Monteith “are just friends”.

Meanwhile, InTouch Weekly (always a reliable source) has gone one step further, saying some source (John himself?) told them John Mayer said Taylor spent the night with him on Jan 24th while in Nashville.

Although reps for both singers deny the story, here’s the thing, there were prior stories around that time that she was seen leaving his hotel suite then too.

According to the Enquirer, Andrea Swift, Taylor’s stage-mother, had pulled Mayer aside during the same trip and told him to back away from her daughter.  Concern for her young but still adult daughter or from worries over what dating Mayer could do to her daughters squeaky clean image and fanbase? 

Should be interesting to see how team Swift reacts.  You just know If she’s happened to be seen in the company of another guy (Cory Monteith or someone else) in the next few days, this story is right on the money.
