MTV’s logo and name redesigned after 29 years
It’s weird how things evolve sometimes.
Having all but dropped music videos from it’s rouster in favour of reality TV shows like The Hills, The City and new guido on the block Jersey Shore, MTV dropped the “music television” from it’s name and redesigned it’s logo.
Some are crying “foul” over the change, but since Total Request Live got cancelled, music videos make up less than three hours of the network’s programming. Music Television only makes sense if your focus is on music.
Perhaps the networks brass should consider changing the name to FW (FameWhore) Television?
