Are crew and cast allowed to look at Uma?

Interesting little item in the Smoking Gun (via NY Daily News) today regarding Uma Thurman (top left – channeling Gloria Swanson as Medusa in Percy Jackson and the Olympians).

Apparently, her contract for a movie that fell through had all sorts of clauses in it, and while some made sense (veto power over publicity stills and merchandising deals), others seemed to be a bit…diva-like.

How so?  One of the clauses read “No other cast member may have more favorable dressing rooms“.  Apparently this includes sleeping accommodations as well.

Isn’t that ultimatley a subjective determination?  No word on whether cast and crew were required to be always lower than her if she was seated and to back out of a room while bowing when leaving her presence.

Another clause stated that she could purchase at wardrobe items created for her at a 50% discount

I’m beginning to understand why we don’t see much of Uma Thurman in films anymore.
