Yesterday, Lady Gaga’s video for her new single, Alejandro was released and made the rounds on the Internet.  Madonna-esqe in it’s imagery, the video recalls Like a Prayer in using religious iconography and sex to stir controversy and debate.

Apparently, this didn’t sit too well with Katy -I Kissed A Girl and I Liked It – Perry, who took to Twitter to make known her dissaproval (Katy had a strict religous upbringing and is the daughter of two pasters).  So, legitimate complaint, sour grapes, or a combination of the two? 

It’s no secret that Gaga gets way more press and exposure than Katy Perry, who’s video for her new song California Girls came out yesterday as well. 

I’m sure this is all just a coincidence.
