Lenny Kravitz somehow pulls this off

I wouldn’t be caught dead in it (I’d be way too self conscious and feel ridiculous).  Granted, Lenny’s a musician and raging heterosexual.  It’s a testament to him that he still looks straight in that ensemble.

Not sure about the wedge boots though – pretty fug.  On the plus side, I guess the murse no longer has to match the footwear (good to know).

And since I can’t post ANYTHING without a little bit of snark, the only thing this outfit seems to be missing is a light-saber or Dorthy Zbornak from the Golden Girls.

Madonna, Angry Raccoon, and daughter launch clothing line

Pulling her patented “I’m so happy to be here, except not” look, annoying child and hard core triple threat Taylor Momsen strikes a pose with Madonna and her daughter Lordes last night during the official launch party of the Material Girl clothing line at Macy’s last night in NYC.

Lordes’ father, Carlos Leon, was there too.  Word is he’s not thrilled with his daughter’s attempts to be in the limelight and has put his foot down when it comes to dating.  I bet the arguments are spectacular.

I’d be more worried about the influence Angry Raccoon has on her than anything else.  From what I see in this picture above, Lordes is already starting to emulate her.

Betty White for HoodieBuddie.Com

“>

Betty who’s absolutely everywhere these days (where the hell does she get the energy?) has teamed up with HoodieBuddie.com to start her own line of clothing, a portion of the proceeds which will go to the Morris Animal Foundation.

Naturally, a video of this partnership has gone viral, in which Betty hysterically shows us the proper way to run a sweat-shop.

Cristiano Ronaldo for Emporio Armani in “Housekeeping”

“>

Ah, here we go, just as I predicted.  The next Emporio Armani ad staring the 25 year old soccer star and proud new papa.   Cripes, he’s ripped.  I sometimes wonder what shape I’d be in if I played soccer (and was considerably younger).

Cute commercial, but if I was that maid, I would have tried to hide Cristiano’s pants as well.  From what I hear, he wouldn’t really have too much of a problem with that.  He’s a total horn dog, this one.

Kim Kardashian proves famewhoring pays

At least when you do it properly through “leaked” amateur porn, scripted reality TV shows, a skank-wear fashion empire, and shameless self promotion.

TMZ is saying that Kim and her mother Kris stopped into Hermes while in Paris and dropped $60 000 on six Hermes Birkins (those over sized purses they’re always lugging around) and a $30 000 bag “made from an extremely rare crocodile skin”.  If no one sees George Hamilton in the next couple of months, we’ll know what happened to him.

Recession? What recession??  (Kim probably doesn’t even know what the term means).  She may well be a laughing stock, but she’s a filthy rich laughing stock.

Megan Fox for Emporio Armani in “The Tip”

“>

The Transformers-less actress can now be seen in a commercial for Emporio Armani, in which she finishes getting dressed in suite while a hotel staff member gets his freak on by grabbing a few quick glances.

Cute, yet creepy.

Looking forward to seeing what Armani does with Cristiano Ronaldo (these things usually show up in pairs) and what state of undress he’s kept in.

Posh and Becks are Intimately Yours

“>

So Posh and Becks have his and her celebrity fragrances called Intimately Yours (how corny) and this is the ad for it.  Guess it was shot a while ago, as Posh’s hair is much longer now.

As for Beck’s, he looks so much better when his hair’s got some length to it.  Now if he’d only give up with the stubble.  Does.  Not.  Suit.

Regarding the “storyline” in the commercial itself…Really?  On an elevator??  Diiiiiiiiiirty!!!!  Who in their right minds would do that???

(I won’t name names here as I’ll be murdered, but the story is priceless.)

Tim’s Gunn now aimed squarely at fashion elite in new book

I love dish, especially from a bitchy, aging, queen who isn’t afraid to name names and throw down (and I mean that as a  compliment).

Part guide to good etiquette, part dishy memoir, in Gunn’s Golden Rules: Life’s Little Lessons for Making It Work, the Project Runway host writes about dealing with the likes of Padma Lakshmi, Martha Stewart’s daughter Alexis (“the angriest person I ever met”), Issac Mizrahi (“..I wouldn’t have the words to describe some of the more abhorrent behavior. He really is a terrible, terrible, terrible person.”) and Vogue overlord herself, Anna Wintour.

“It’s insane that people don’t call her out on the things she does. Is it fear? I was certainly afraid of her. When her office called me, I thought I’d have to go into the witness protection program.” He tells the NYDN.

Uh-oh.  Anna is not going to be amused.  Also?  HA!  (Do I need to mention I’ll be picking this up next week when it’s released on Tuesday?  I didn’t think so.)

Tim also goes into details about his own life, family (distant mother, homophobic father) and his interesting decision to remain celibate after a horrible relationship which ended years ago.

As for good manners in a post reality TV world that now seems to reward bad behavior with little or no consequences, Tim says, “Take the high road, you’ll never regret it.”

Emmy Awards – Red Carpet Round Up

One of these things, is not like the others.  Which one is it?  Can you tell?

If you guessed January Jones (Mad Men), you are correct.  While Claire Daines, Sue Sylvester, and (God help me) even Kate Gosselin rocked the red carpet, January looked like she lost a bet with that dress.  Don’t even get me started on the hair (although she seemed to find a brush by the  time she had to present something).

Battle Brewing over Material Girl

Looks like Madonna and her daughter Lordes have a fight on their hands over the line of clothes for teenagers they’ve created for Macy’s that just recently launched.

Apparently, a California based clothing company called LA Triumph is claiming they’ve used the name Material Girl since 1997, for a line they say is similar in style, price, and availability.

Lawyers for LA Triumph went to court on Thursday and filed a suit, demanding that The Big M and Macy’s change the name and hand over all profits to them (of course) saying that this creates “deception” in the market.

Considering that Madonna coined the phrase “Material Girl” 26 years ago, wouldn’t she own rights to it?  Will the judge presiding over the case notice when word of  Madonna and Lourde’s line and it’s moniker made the news months ago, LA Triumph remained strangely silent over the matter?  What exactly where they waiting for?  Questions, questions….

Besides being exposed to business meetings and the inner workings of the fashion industry, guess Lourdes is also getting her first exposure to corporate dust-ups.  Welcome to the big league, kid.

Whichever way this suit goes (instinct says it’ll be dismissed) Madonna won’t be hurting for money.  Rumour is the big M is being offered $1 BILLION for a five year Las Vegas residency at Ceasar’s Palace.
